Always a
Reason to
Stay
Last year more than 60,000 people stayed on campus, visiting for work, sporting events, concerts, job interviews and to experience another side of Philadelphia.
Demand for both business, limited and luxury stays is growing exponentially which is why in addition to the 212 rooms currently available at the Marriott Courtyard, we will add 223 more rooms in 2026 at the 4-Star Waylen Hotel & Spa to be located in the historic Barracks Building in the center of campus.

Courtyard by Marriott
Where Business is Pleasure
Built by Ensemble Investments, the full-service hotel has been receiving guests since 2012. The property offers a full-service café, coffee bar, patio with fireplace, meeting rooms, fitness center and business center.
Located in the heart of the 1200 acre Navy Yard, the Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard opened in January 2014. The ground-up, five-story, LEED-certified structure features a unique, modern design with 212 guestrooms and suites, 2,000 square feet of meeting space, a business center, upgraded fitness facility and an enhanced food and beverage experience- all designed to meet the pressing corporate demands generated by the Navy Yard’s thriving commercial area. The hotel also attracts a significant leisure segment due in part to its immediate proximity to the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, home of Philadelphia’s professional sports teams, as well as proximity to downtown Philadelphia.
The Waylen – A 4-Star Hyatt Hotel & Spa Experience
Situated at the core of Philadelphia’s Navy Yard campus, The Waylen will convert a historic naval receiving station into a 223-key, full-service hotel. It is intended to function as the Navy Yard’s communal gathering space, attracting guests, residents, and innovators worldwide. This hotel marks the pinnacle of Ensemble’s $600 million initial Navy Yard development phase, paving the way for an additional $6 billion of planned development in the next 15 years.
The Waylen will serve as a central hub, offering over 18,500 square feet of event space, a 6-treatment room spa, a 3-meal restaurant and cocktail lounge, along with a concealed speakeasy that invokes the charm and mystique of a bygone era.
