Ensemble / Mosaic at the Navy Yard

Building the Navy Yard Together

In partnership with PIDC (Philadelphia’s public-private economic development corporation), Ensemble / Mosaic is transforming the Navy Yard. Our vision creates a unique mixed-use community unlocking its full potential.

This new identity complements and expands upon the Navy Yard’s enduring legacy which already includes more than seven million square feet of occupied space. The historic grounds are home to 15,000 employees and 150 companies and institutions and host 130,000 visitors annually. (You can learn more at www.navyyard.org.)

By breaking the strictly “urban vs suburban” mold and creating a new hybrid, we envision the Navy Yard as a place so compelling that people come to work excited to create, innovate, and play.

It’s all here: Life Science and Office, Residential and Retail, Hospitality and Restaurants, Parks and Plazas.

Come join us.

Environmental, Social, and Governance

Building Responsibly Together

The Navy Yard is a Philadelphia-powered community, and we understand what it means to be stewards of this city; Philadelphia is our home, too. Therefore, our entire $2.6 billion investment in the Navy Yard is committed to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

We prioritize ways of empowering Philadelphia and Philadelphians and are inclusive at all levels and across all aspects of our activities. This includes extensive and deeply felt diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to create and grow capacity for established and emerging businesses which will provide $1 billion of opportunity to minority and women owned companies.

Sustainability is a foundational value that permeates all aspects of our work and we deliver environmental best practices in a manner that is responsible, measured and deliberate. Our commitment to the health of the environment extends beyond just pursuing Philadelphia’s first LEED-certified neighborhood. It extends to the health and wellness of the people who occupy our buildings and leverage an extensive network of public parks.

We will do all of this with transparency and pride, reporting on our progress to our E/M board, PIDC and the City of Philadelphia.

Ensemble/Mosaic TNY Empowerment Foundation

In support of minority and women owned businesses and members of the workforce based in the Navy Yard, Ensemble/Mosaic has formed the Ensemble/Mosaic TNY Empowerment Foundation. Capitalized with a $1,000,000 contribution by Ensemble/Mosaic, it will be self- sustaining through contributions from each individual project the partnership develops at the Navy Yard.

The Foundation is dedicated to providing education, job training, access to capital, mentorship and wealth creation opportunities. We made our first donation – $100,000 to the Navy Yard Skills Initiative, a workforce development program – and we look forward to doing much more.
